We are delighted to welcome these
lads back for the second time this year.
Their first Newcastle gig back in
February went down a storm with fantastic
feedback from a big crowd and the demand ...
"get 'em back!!!"
So, ladies and gentlemen please
welcome the return of ....

And
The Return of .......
Stick This In Your Fusebox 2008 Tour
Second Spasm .....
LIVE/WIRE
have established themselves as the hardest
working AC/DC
tribute act in the UK. They are also unique, due
to having both the Bon
Scott and
Brian Johnson eras portrayed by two
individual singers, in the same two hour plus
performance.
The band
continues to develop and enhance their live
performance to attain their ultimate goal, which
focuses on the professional delivery of the
AC/DC show
in the bigger venues. The ‘Stick This In Your
Fusebox’ 2008 tour sees the presentation of a
full AC/DC
show with the cannons, the Hells Bell, the
walkways, backdrops and drapes. With Andy, Ed
and Daz providing the rock hard rhythm section
that you can set a watch to, Lorne cutting the
rug with the frenetic fret board antics as Angus
Young plus Jon and Grant as the legendary
Bon Scott
and larynx shredding Geordie,
Brian Johnson,
respectively, LIVE/WIRE hold all the
aces.
“Attention to
detail” is their watchword. From the
AC/DC signature
sound, the instruments, the stage attire, right
through to recreating the moves and the grooves.
……. it’s all present & correct. If you are going
to replicate an AC/DC
show, you have to do it right. The band pride
themselves on putting on an exact replica of an
AC/DC show
that gives the fans ultimate value for money and
keeps them coming back for more. A
LIVE/WIRE
show is all about the band and the fans being in
it together. The ‘Stick This tour will see the
largest production yet for the audience to
savour. Who said bigger isn’t better?!!
LIVE/WIRE
don’t just want to invite you to an
AC/DC show ……
they want to put you slap bang in the front row
centre of the whole maelstrom!
As any
AC/DC fan will
tell you – ‘There is only one
AC/DC.’
Similarly, there is only one complete
AC/DC show –
and that is LIVE/WIRE
…..
LIVE/WIRE
are - Lorne Shippen (Angus Young), Andy Tinker
(Malcolm Young), Grant Foster (Brian Johnson),
John Belford (Bon Scott), Eddie Clarke (Cliff
Williams) and Daz Wood (Phil Rudd)
LIVEWIRE
TIMELINE
1997 – Band
formed in Hull, Humberside, U.K.
1999 – Show
starts to gain an excellent reputation
established around Yorkshire and East Midlands.
2000 – Gary
Foster (founder member and ‘Angaz’) dons the
school uniform for the first time.
2001 –
Supported U.F.O. and Wishbone Ash at the Rock
and Blues Festival. Toured the West Country to
sold out audiences, performed live on Scottish
radio and performed to 200 German AC/DC fans on
the eve of the AC/DC Milton Keynes show on the
Stiff Upper Lip tour.
2002 – Clocks

and records an album of AC/DC classics.
2003 – More
headway gained as the band, now in heavy demand,
start to play theatres, art venues and are a
regular attraction at the UK’s top bike
festivals.
2004 – More of
the same – but better! The band are commissioned
to record yet another album, which leads to
appearances on Compilation albums worldwide.
2005 – John
joins, making LIVE/WIRE a SIX man
tribute, able to recreate the sound AND look of
both eras of AC/DC.
2006 – Grant
joins in June, completing the band’s objective
to have a formidable representation of both Bon
and Brian eras.
2007 –
LIVEWIRE were sad to accept founder member
Gary Foster’s step down, for health reasons, but
he will always be a part of the band he helped
create. After standing in for a number of shows,
Lorne was successfully recruited as the ‘Lock Up
Your Mothers’ tour loomed large. Andy then
joined on rhythm to complete the circle and give
LIVE/WIRE it’s truest line up to date.
2008 - First gig in
Newcastle goes down a storm and pulls a big
crowd.
THE BALL

After the gig in February .....
Firstly, thank you to everyone
who turned out for Live/Wire's first Newcastle
gig. There was a big crowd and we are sure Brian
Johnson would have been delighted to have been
there if he wasn't soaking up the sun in
Florida.
Right from the off, the crowd were jumping the
band hit the stage running [honest] and away we
sent on a fabulous AC/DC journey. They really
did a cracking job in every department with the
bare chested John Belford leading the line as
Bon Scott.
Half way into the show and it was
Grant Foster's turn to strut his stuff. Back
stage, he said "It's ok playing Geordie legend
Brian Johnson down in Brighton, but here in
Newcastle in front of his home crowd, it's
definitely walking into the lion's den" Grant
need not have worried, he did a brilliant job.
The Geordie accent needs a touch of polish, but
he's got Brian's mannerisms and certainly has
the singing off to a T.
We are trying to get the lads
back in the Autumn for what will no double be
another belter of a gig. |
